TREATMENT OF DIABETIES USING GREEN TEA
An aqueous solution of green tea was found to inhibit lipid peroxidation , scavenge hydroxyl and superoxide radicals. Boil 1 tsp of green tea in a cup of water for 10 minutes. Strain and drink the extracts,twice daily for a month. The blood sugar levels are regularized in a month. An aqueous solution of green tea polyphenols (GTP) was found to inhibit lipid peroxidation (LP), scavenge hydroxyl and superoxide radicals in vitro.

Study showed that green tea extract helped diabetic mice tolerate sugar and produce insulin, even in serious cases, also the extract was reported to preserve the insulin-producing tissue and limit the damage linked to the worsening of diabetes.
